Just going through the photos from my English vacation adventures. This little ladybug was enjoying the evening Sun in Oxfordshire during a day's Geocaching with my friends Ross and Olivia Fenion.
Sometimes in life, you have to stop an smell the roses. At other times, you just have enjoy the view and feed the ducks. And then retreat and hide in the car when they bring their friends.
Here are two of my new ducky friends from Rutland Water during our family holiday shortly before we got mobbed. Both were very enthusiastic to pose for their picture, paid for with bread crust.Just some Photoshop fun inspired by Jennifer Ouellette's Discovery News article "Forget Space Beer, Order Meteorite Wine Instead."
I NEVER saw that coming. Comet Lovejoy SURVIVED! It took a dive deep into the corona and somehow made it out the other side. That chunk of ice sure is tough...
It's a beautiful sight.
This is freedom, from a bunny's point-of-view.
Two of our rabbits, Speckle and BunBun, were in the back yard enjoying the fresh air. Somehow, they plotted to circumvent the rabbit barrier blocking the side of the house. OK, not too much of an issue, there's no way they could possibly bypass the gate, right? Wrong. Using an escape tunnel dug by a wild rabbit, they squeezed under the gate and escaped to the front yard and, ultimately, freedom. They were easy to find, munching the neighbor's dandelions. Fortunately, they came running to me when they realized I had treats. A minor wrestle later, I had two furry critters under both arms, while whistling the "Great Escape" theme tune.
